Hello,

I've had Mylo for over a year. The last 6 months he has been having little white growths on his gills. Did water changes, changed from sand to bare bottom, complete filter change, got a master water tester kit, got Prime for conditioning, and treated the white cotton ball like growths with Pimafix and Dark water. I recently added sand back into his tank, treated it properly, and put him back into the tank. I was gone for two days and now he has the BIGGEST growth I have ever seen!! Idk what to do! His tank temp is currently at 58 degrees F, and water parameters are good with zero nitrates detected.

add 3.5g/l non-iodised salt to the tank, this can be reduced to 2g/l once fungus has been removed to act as a preventative against future infections.

as an added note, nitrates shouldn't be zero unless there is an issue with the cycle or the tank is heavily planted.
