I've been doing some research and it seems to me as if care sheets for salamanders warn against using sphagnum moss due to acidity, but many frog care sheets seem to say sphagnum is ok. I'm just wondering if it is ok to use sphagnum in a frog's enclosure without any problem (soil wise not issues with being impacted) For reference I'm interested in keeping tomato, pixie and pacman frogs but I'm interested in a general answer

Sphagnum moss has a neutral pH. You're thinking peat moss which is acidic

it is really useful for holding moisture in your substrate - that's why it is in ABG mix
